This was a project that was completed during my master’s degree with a team of three other group workers and me. The goal for the project was to purpose a theoretical outline for the purchase of an NFL team. The information that was gathered for the project was done using Python programming in Juptyer notebook and the process of web scraping of different websites to gather team statistics and data points. These would include the teams spending on payroll and advertising, income from ticket sales, merchandise sales and concessions at home game. The local economy in the form of the average income of residents that live around the home stadiums was considered as well. Each data point was assessed a value system and with the overall points per team were gathered then there was a given team that would be the best prospect for investing in the purchase of an NFL team.
